Mark working on a couple of Cor-Ten bird hides nearing completion. The weathering steel will develop a ferrous patina which sits well in the landscape and forms a protective layer on the Cor-Ten steel.

The forge is lit! πŸ”₯ there are some things that can’t be done with the induction heater or fit in the furnace. Heating the edge of a dish to create a lip for a bird bath.

Sunshine in South Queensferry
Today the team are fitting refurbished posts that we made over 20 years ago. The pavement is being realigned and the posts moved from the flowerbed onto a cope stone with new handrails to suit the new curve of the pavement. Good to see longevity of contemporary metalwork being recognised.
