Ratho Byres Forge is one of the few forges employing traditional skills and methods to enhance their contemporary designs,producing
innovative metalwork for today. Blacksmithing is a physical and elemental craft,demanding both energy and dexterity to breathe life and richness into the work.

The exhibition is a mixture of both sculpture and functional pieces, blurring the boundaries between the aesthetic and the practical.This body of work represents a recent departure for the artists at Ratho Byres Forge,who work mainly to commission,and they hope you enjoy the results.
